Health Guarantee for Your Mini Dachshund Puppy

At Jurrieta Dachshund, we provide a 2-year health guarantee for all our mini Dachshund puppies. Our puppies are vet-checked, up-to-date on vaccinations, and have been de-wormed. They are guaranteed to be in good health, free of infections or contagious diseases when they join their new homes. This guarantee covers life-threatening congenital defects for 2 years from the puppy’s birth. If a defect causes death within this period, we will replace the puppy under the following conditions:

  • Veterinary Exam: The puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 days of delivery. The seller must be notified immediately via email or phone of the results. Failure to do so will void this guarantee.

  • Routine Care: The puppy must receive regular veterinary care, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, and de-worming as recommended by the vet.

  • Congenital Defects: The puppy is guaranteed against fatal or life-altering congenital defects. If the puppy passes away due to a genetic defect, the buyer will pay for an autopsy to confirm the cause. If congenital, the seller will replace the puppy.

  • Hip Dysplasia: This guarantee does not cover hip dysplasia, as all our puppies are cleared by the vet before leaving us, and hip issues often result from factors beyond our control.

  • Replacement Only: All claims under this guarantee will be handled by replacing the puppy, not by a refund.

  • Medical Expenses: The seller is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred by the buyer.

  • Coccidia & Kennel Cough: This guarantee does not cover Coccidia or Kennel Cough, as these are common in puppies and usually caused by bacteria. Kennel Cough is self-limiting and non-life-threatening.

  • Genetic Defects: A puppy with a serious genetic defect must be reported within three business days with two vet reports confirming the issue. The seller will provide a replacement puppy of equal value, and the defective puppy must be returned or euthanized with seller’s approval.

  • Pet Quality: Our mini Dachshund puppies are sold as pet quality. There is no guarantee on the puppy’s ability to sire or whelp, nor on the size of the puppy as an adult.

  • Return Policy: If the puppy is returned, it must be in good condition, other than the issue for which it is being replaced, and the return is at the buyer’s expense.

  • Replacement Puppy: Replacement puppies will be of comparable quality, though not necessarily from the same parents.

  • Non-Transferable: This guarantee applies only to the original buyer and cannot be transferred to a second owner.

  • Environmental Factors: Disorders caused by environmental factors (e.g., allergies, autoimmune disorders) are not covered under this guarantee.

  • Neglect or Improper Care: This guarantee does not cover neglect or improper care of the dog by the buyer.

  • Immunizations & Exams: The puppy must be kept up-to-date on immunizations and exams.

  • Rehoming Responsibility: The buyer agrees never to abandon or surrender the puppy without attempting to contact the seller for other arrangements.

  • Contract Validity: This contract is void if the terms and conditions are not met.`

  • Jurisdiction: This contract is governed by the laws of the State and the buyer agrees to its terms.
